How do you upgrade or install newer version of a MP in SCOM R2?
Some MPs have a few dependencies that doen't let me delete the old one
before installing the new one.
If I go through the import wizard, it skips them saying '... is imported'.

We installed the KMS management pack quite a while ago.  Once we rolled out
the updated version of KMS (to support Win7 and 2008R2) the reports started
showing odd OS's (obviously because the Management pack did not yet support
or recognize the new OS's).

I have DPM2007 SP1 and deployed SCOM 2007, when a backup fails in DPM
according to the DPM site I should get error: 3159, SCOM is looking for 3114,

run the discover wizhard, the SQL nodes do not get displayed.It populates the
message stating that the account with which the discovery is being done does
not have administrative privilages on the target ...

I noticed that many of our SQL 2000 servers are not being discovered as such.
It looks as though the group is based on the existence of the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\80\MSSQLLicenseInfo

We have three different types of servers (1) Production, (2) UAT and (3)
Development.
I am happy to deploy the standard MOM SQL monitoring to our production
servers, but want to be able to exclude some servers from SQL monitoring.  

We upgraded Reporting Services to R2 yesterday and now reporting dont work.
We also have installed Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and service level
dashboard
The error i am getting when opening reporting in operations console is:

How do you give some report viewer rights?  The users should be able
to click on the link provided and be able to open the report and be
able to drill down into the actions if it is needed.

When I attempt to run a performance report against a server I only see
the intervals on the bottom   It goes 1,2,3,37,28,29,30?  Which I find
odd.  I really want to be able to see, ie: Memory (Avail Mbs) at
hourly intervals.  Maybe I am doing something wrong?

Is there a supported (or unsupported) method to reduce the size of a OnePoint

In the next couple of days I want to install Windows Server 2008 on one of
our servers. Thereafter I want to install SCOM 2007 R2 - never used this
software before.
I looked for requirements and found SQL 2005 at least. No problem with this.

I have a new installation of SCOM 2007 SP1, I have AD integration completed.
Now, my issue is that any clients that I push install just sits in the
Pending Management Folder and any clients that I install manually (same
clients) never show up as an managed agent.
