Hi

I need to do testing of tape drives on Windows 2008 using both the tape
vendor-supplied driver, as well as the default Microsoft driver
(6.0.6001.18000).  After installing the vendor-specific tape driver, how can
I remove that vendor-specific driver, and use again the default Microsoft
driver?

Thanks!

In device manager you can right click the tape drive > properties>driver tab
and click roll back driver.
James.

Hi James

Just so; thanks very much for pointing this out.  I also hit on this
much-more-clumsy method: in Device Manager, right-click on tape drive, select
'Uninstall' and, in the 'Confirm Device Uninstall' window, check 'Delete the
driver software for this device', and reboot.

Thanks!
