Hi there,

For one of our customers there is a W2K3 Standard edition with sp1
installed. At the install-date I wasn't involved with this customer. But now
so. One of my collegues has offered a lot of memory and now the server has 8
gig of memory installed, but only 4 gig is recognized. Is there a possibility
to make usage of the none-recognized memory which is in the server, or not. I
thought the Enterprise edition can recognize more then 4 gig of memory, but
I'm not sure.

Thanks.

Server 2003 Enterprise Edition supports 32GB RAM.  Windows 2000 Server
and Windows Server 2003, Standard Editions support 4GB.

I suggest you also look up using the /PAE switch in the boot.ini so
that it can take advantage of memory above the 4gb limit
