PKI Newbie here, I am curious if it is possible to upgrade a Windows 2000
Certificate Authority Server to Windows 2003 Certificate Authority Server?
We are upgrading our network server to 2003 and I am not sure if this is
going to present a problem with the 2000 CA but I want them all on the same
platform.

Any input on this is appreciated...

Here is a KB article that describes how to do such. Be sure to read it
carefully and don't decommission your old CA until you know the new CA is
working as planned.  If you install the new CA on Windows 2003 Server
Enterprise version you will have much more flexibility in your PKI including
version 2 templates, private key archival, and the ability to use
autoenrollment for users and computers.  --- Steve
