My server has crashed, without backup. I reinstalled everything, but now on
my cients, when i go to My documents, it won't open as the path is refered to
the crashed server name. I believe there are offline files, but I cannot
access the. On setting the user on the new directory, we can't migrate the
docs. Please help

(I do hope you've remedied that and have a good backup plan in place
now....)

Since you reinstalled the server (and I assume you didn't have another DC in
the domain), you created an entirely new AD domain - this means that none of
your old computer or user accounts will be valid, and must all be recreated.
. Did you disjoin the old domain, and then run /connectcomputer to join the
new one? You need to do that.

To get to the old cached offline files - I believe you'll need to contact
PSS to get CSCCMD 1.1.

Thanks.

I went through the steps, but no success. when i check offline folder, i can
see the documents, but on opening the My Doc folder, I still get the message;
"The network folder, \\servername\users\user\My document, that contains My
Docs is not available.

Move the cached files somewhere safe using the MS utility I mentioned, and
then disable offline files on the workstations. And I'd leave it disabled.
Move the data to the server (the user's shared folder).
