A Windows 2000 TS has a grace period of 90 days, in which it can
work without a TS Licensing Server at all.
After that, you have to install and activate a TS Licensing Server
(on your Domain Controller). Then all clients will be able to
receive a temporary license from the TS Licensing Server, which is
good for another 90 days.
After that.... time to buy licenses.
Note that Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Pro (but not
Home Edition!) clients will receive a free TS license from the TS
Licensing Server, as soon as you have the LS installed and
activated. So for those clients you don't need to buy any licenses
at all.
Installing and activating the TS Licensing Server is free.

Thanks for the input.
The technology is worth the price of licensing, in my opinion.
However, I am glad that I am able to learn on and demonstrate the product
without shelling out for them
I appreciate your quick reply.
