I have a 5 user copy of Win2k3 Server.  I had installed and have been using
TemSvcs for about 8-9 months.  This weekend, I tried to access the server
via TS and received an error that the licenses had expired and to contact
the admin (which is me!!).  I logged on directly to the server and then the
TS License Mgr.  The license applet came up but showed the server as
diabled.  I enabled it and it asked to activate licenses.  First of all,
shouldn't this OS come with 5 Cals for TS?  If so, how do I tell it to use
those?  If the OS does not come with Cals, I read where copies of WinXP
should be able to create CALs.   I can't figure out how to get the cal for
my WinXP license access to my Win2k3 server.  I looked at the docs mentioned
in several posts, but I could not find anything that said how to get the
CAL. Can someone please
walk be through it?

duplicate post. see my reply in this newsgroup.

Additional info / questions:
Did you install and activate a Licensing Server? It sounds as if
the grace period of the TS has ended (120 days).

The 5 CALs that came with the server are most likely server CALs,
not TS CALs.
I suggest you read this as well:

I could not find the post you mentioned.  The licensing server is installed.
All I really need to do is manage the server remotely.  Is this the best way
to do it?  Also, what about the cals that are available with WinXP?  I saw
info on obtaining them, but could not figure out how to do so...

I just followed the link on entering my XP license keys.  I entered them and
got the following error message:
License Code Request Failed
Sorry, your request for Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server CAL tokens could
not be processed.

No explanation as to why or what to do next.  What do I do now?

There have been other reports of this error on the website. Try
again.

In another post you wrote:

No, if Remote Administration is all you want, you are on the wrong
track altogether!
Uninstall Terminal Services, configure Remote Desktop for
Administration (System - Properties - Remote), and forget all
about TS Licensing. You will get a maximum of 2 concurrent
connections + 1 to the server console, by default for
Administrators only.
Is that what you want?

That is exactly what I wanted.  That did it.  Thanks for your help...
