Hi,
We have a 2003 domain and a win2K TS that is not part of the domain and
have no plans to add it to the domain. I have an application on the TS that
authenticates with SQL Server via NT security, and therefore does not work.
I have tried domain\user with no luck. What can I do to make this work? can
I trust the TS in the domain? if so, how?

Thanks.
George.

A trust can only be established between domains, so you can not
establish a trust between your domain and your standalone TS.

Is there any reason why you don't want the TS to join the domain?
As an alternative, can the application use SQL accounts in stead of
NT security?
Where are your user account? Local accounts on the TS?

Vera,

Security? I am not 100% sure why we have it this way, but we can not change
it.

No. The data access is hardcoded in the application to use NT security.

Local TS Server.

I have tired RUNAS (Domain\User) with no luck.

I haven't tested this, but can't you use TS\User, instead of Domain
\User? After all, that's the accounts that need to access the SQL
server, if I understand your correctly.
