Hi

I'd appreciate your assistance.

Every time I boot up, I get two New hardward found
messgages. Both for an old S3 Virge video card which is no
longer installed.

I cancel out of these before being able to use NT normally.

Can anyone suggest how I can stop these messages?

thanks in advance

mike

Part of the problem may be due to the use of the vga.sys file that was
supplied with the old S3 card. Suggest reverting NT by using the original
NT vga.sys file and configure display for 640 x 480 at 256 colors. Next,
reboot the computer and remove all of the old S3 control apps that might
have been installed via the add/remove applet. It would help clean out the
Registry. Finally, do a new install of the drivers for the new video card and
re-configure display to suit.
