Windows Server Forum / Windows NT / Setup / November 2003New Hardware Found
Hi I'd appreciate your assistance. Every time I boot up, I get two New hardward found messgages. Both for an old S3 Virge video card which is no longer installed. I cancel out of these before being able to use NT normally. Suggest reverting NT by using the original NT vga.sys file and configure display for 640 x 480 at 256 colors. Next, reboot the computer and remove all of the old S3 control apps that might have been installed via the add/remove applet. It would help clean out the Registry. Finally, do a new install of the drivers for the new video card and re-configure display to suit. |
