When Booting a message box tells me a service or driver failed during
system startup. Use Event Viewer for details.

Event Viewer -

1. Win NT 1381 Service Pack 6 Uniprocessor Free

2. Computer Browser Service depends on Server Service which failed to
start - Service is Disabled.

Where do I go from here to fix this matter.

Control Panel|Services|"server"|Startup and set to "automatic"

Now it says -

The Server Service terminated with the following ERROR

A device attached to the system is not functioning.

How do I find out which device?

No new Event Viewer error messages? I would guess the network interface. Any
history on this? New install, etc.?

Usually network card failure or API version problems, did you tried to
reapply service pack?
