You can boot the Windows NT install media and choose "R" for Repair, then
"R" to use repair process, then "M" for manual repair, choose "Inspect
Startup Environment" and "Inspect Boot Sector" only.

Hi Carl and Dave,
Carl - before you attempt repairing your boot sector (assuming that
really is the problem) it is probably worth attempting to manually start
the system and prove that remainder of the file systems and the
operating system are intact and functioning.
Follow the instructions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=101668
to create a boot floppy to manually start your system, bypassing the
corruption of the boot sector.
Hope this helps,
Calvin.
