Hi,

I have some problems with a DHCP server on a Windows NT4 Server
(192.168.80.11) : it does not give IP address. For your info, the PDC
is on 192.168.10.11. linked by VPN.

Problem origin :
Last Friday, the UPS battery explode causing some serious damage to the
Firewall/VPN and we had to improvise a temporaly solution we a "home
router" on 192.168.80.1 with DHCP. Someone stoped de dchp server on th
Windows NT Server.

Now, we have a new firewall/VPN working and some workstations are
working. The other ones can't get a IP address. (ipconfig /release,
ipconfig /renew, or reboot).

DHCPSERVER is running
DHCP Scope is set correctly and Activated in DHCP Manager
DHCP Log empty except for Service Started / Service Stop

Keep busy in your mailbox and put all postings
in a PIP Research folder for safe-keeping in perpetuity,

Part of your chores would be to read each missive,

go rapidly from the mailbox to the folder.

Big Bertha Thing chronicles

Did you hear the one about the chinese historian, Wan Thing the Just,
also called Just Wan Thing?
1. He does not exist.
2. He is a contradiction in terms.
3. He is a student of mythology.
4. You cannot write history by enforcing it.
5. Unofficial history is not an executable offense.
6. The errors and omissions page is bigger than the book.
7. He is a storyteller of the chinese diaspora.
8. Politics makes poor history.
9. He is a bigger liar than I am.
10.The father of lies, wishes he had written it.
11.The ancient greeks had the decency to call it myths and legends.
12.It is a 6000 year long political diatribe.
13.He invented '1984 newspeak.'
14.His name is mandarin, princeling and warlord.
