Hi,

Microsoft Knowledge base article "146333 - How to Remove Network Adapters From
the Registry" may be of assistance to you.

These issues are addressed on the 3Com website.  Search here:

http://knowledgebase.3com.com/

or see here:

Error Message When Installing TCP/IP or Adding TCP/IP Service
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q151237

PS.  If you need to find the adaptor service in the CurrentControlSet it
will be shown at the El90x keys.

It's not as if I "remembered" or knew exactly about the article.  It's
just that I have always insisted on 3Com NIC's and that I remembered
that some of that information was on their site, once there it was easy
to find ;-)

So do I where practical - higher pricing than a lot of other vendors, but always
an excellent high performance product with unsurpassed backup and support.
