I have SCSi computer with two Adaptec adapters,
2940UW and 29160, P3 400 MHZ, 256 RAM.
9 GB drive partitioned to two partitions 2 GB each
the rest of the drive ignored.
The 2940UW is 1/2 a GB.
With two CD-ROM  drives, each connected to each adapter,

I try to install Win NT 4 first release, but I always
end up with a blue screen, saying to use the restore option ??
right after it detects my hardware.
I actually have two NT CDs, with the same problem.

I tried installing from both booted CD, and setup disks.
The last error I got after recognizing my SCSI adapter software
and adapter. That the drive is 1024 sectors, but continued
setup, but then give error that can't see a DOS partitioned
drive. while I just formatted it, was running Win 95 on it.

I have installed NT 4 many times in the 90s with no problem.
I tried use both drive on each SCSI adapter
with the same results.
Wonder what is missing, or is it a known issue.

System might sound old, but it is in mint condition and
hardly used.
I use it to test software, I have about 8 hard drives with
all operating systems, that I plug in.

Thank you very much, that was very helpful.
I have to find my old 2940, I think I throw it away.
There was a tip on how to work around getting 2940UW
to work, I will try it if I can't find the old SCSI adapter.
