Some years ago someone put a username and password on our volunteer fire
dept computer (NT4.0), that person is long gone.
We decided to start using the comp instead of stone tablets for record
keeping.
Is there a way to get into Windows? I tried booting with a 98 boot disk in
hopes of deleting the password list, hopefully like 98, *.pwl.
Is there hope for us? There are some Quicken files that we'd like to keep
if we can.

Thanks, Al

Hi,

This site and the provided tools should help you:

http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

Be careful - A WRONG MOVE here COULD destroy the OS on the machine - proceed
with caution.

Hope this helps,

Calvin.
