Getting this message in the middle of Disk 2.

What is the complete equipment list for this computer,
including make/model/type of video card, type of RAM,
etc.? The error message is indicating an incompatibility
and if the motherboard, chipset and hardware is anything
more than conforming to the basic IA-32 architecture, NT
(08/96) just might be too obsolete for it. And this could
include late-model P4-CPU's, non-Intel chipsets, fast AGP
video cards, etc.

ECS PM800-M2 mobo
VIA PM800 Northbridge, VT8237 Southbridge chipsets
P4 Celeron 2.66GHz (socket 478)
512MB RAM

It's got onboard AGP video, but I've got the BIOS set to
Init Display First: PCI slot

I've got an ATi (I think) PCI VGA installed for setup.

I've seen this error posted in couple of forums.  Here's
what one poster who, back in March, had been getting the
same error had to say:

"I have the Phoenix-Award BIOS and under the Advanced BIOS
settings I discovered changing the max CPUID from disable to
enable allowed me to install NT 4.0 Workstation on this
machine."

My mobo doesn't seem to have this setting, but perhaps
there's a similar one?  I don't know what this setting is.

ECS claims that this mobo IS compatible w/NT, FWIW...

If this motherboard is going to support Windows NT, and
after looking at its description, it is going to have to
be set up to do it. In general, the specs for the 'board
is way beyond the capabilities of Windows NT. For starters,
re-set the HD controller to UDMA 33. Slow down the PCI bus
by dropping back to DDR 266 MHz RAM. Keep the PCI video card.
HT support should be disabled, if not already done. Disable
S-ATA and USB.

Still want to use this motherboard with NT? I'd rather stick
in a P4-3.4 MHz (or faster) Prescott CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and let
it fly with S-ATA hard drives.

Thanks.  I'll try your suggestions.  The only reason I'm
doing this is that my company is writing some software and
the customer wants it to run on 98SE, NT, 2k, Me, XP Home
and Pro.  That's why I've built this machine w/a removable
HDD drawer, to accomodate all the different OSes.  Simplier
to have one designated test box.
