PCI Driver problem

I had to wipe and reinstall W2K on an IBM Netvista. now device manager shows
PCI device with yellow question mark. It tries to install new hardware but it
can't find driver on its own and I haven't got a clue as to what device it is
actually trying to install. I was able to install a PCI WiFi adapter but it
won't work because it says a PCI device it requires isn't working.

The Netvista has no PCI adapters except for WiFi, everything audio, video
etc are on motherboard.

Can anyone suggest how I can troubleshoot this?

Even they are integrated on mobo, they are still connected to PCI bus. Most
of new motheboards needs to install motheboard related drivers first (and in
correct order) to allow full function of integrated devices and of advanced
new adapters. For ex. motheboards with new intel chipsets needs to install
intel INF driver as the first step after installation of OS itself..

Thanks, I had to go to Intel site and pull down the W2K drivers for the 815
chipset. I had assumed thie stuff would be in W2k or IBM's driver set but
NOooo, it wasn't going to be that easy!
