Hi.  Its me again.  I'm having problems with the display screen on our
ViewSonic G70m monitor.  I downloaded and installed a new driver from
ViewSonic.  It didn't change anything.  Thinking it might be a hardware
problem, I went to Device Manager for a look around.  There was no entry for
"Monitors."  "Other devices" had a yellow question mark.  In this section was
"Video Controller" with a yellow question mark.

It seems that something isn't right, but what can I do about it?

Somehow, in another life, I have a dim recollection that if you remove a
device and reboot Windows will reinstall it.  Is this correct?

While this is true, to some extent, the issue here is the
the monitor.ini file for the Viewsonic but the drivers for
the video card. Remembered to re-install these?

You need to reinstall the Video Card drivers.

But obviously since this is a Windows NT newsgroup and NT doesn't have a
"Device Manager" you're posting to the wrong group!
