help! help!  me

I'm trying to install NT on a brand new 40gig HD. when NT
runs its storage device test, it does'nt find the HD.
when I format the HD in FAT16, only 8gig is revealed by
NT. what to do? somebody help

Have a look at the post a few down regarding "A New HD". That should get you
going. Also when you say FAT16 is only showing 8gb that is not possible as
the maximum partition size for formatting under DOS is 2gb but NT can create
a 4gb partition under FAT16. The issue you are seeing is that you need at
least Sp4 or higher on your machine to see the whole drive. I would also
suggest using NTFS and it is faster and has built in security.
