I've been seeing the following message in my Event Log for
Dns activity:

DNS Server created CNAME loop loading CNAME at
resalehost.networksolutions.com.. One link in CNAME loop:
DNS name resalehost.networksolutions.com. is alias for
CNAME resalehost.networksolutions.com.. See adjoining
messages for other links in CNAME loop.

The site involved 'resalehost.networksolutions.com' has no
relationship with my site and my DNS has no entries
related to it, nor do the 'adjoining messages' mentioned
in the event log give me any clue as to what is going on.

Could someone help please ?  Is there a security problem
about which I'm unaware ??

I've recently had problems accessing the internet, both
going to websites and sending e-mail, and had to reboot
our DNS server.  When I checked the event viewer I saw
that exact same message:
****************
Event Type:    Error
Event Source:    Dns
Event Category:    None
Event ID:    5108
Date:        10/1/2004
Time:        7:37:06 PM
User:        N/A
Computer:    xyz123
Description:
DNS Server created CNAME loop loading CNAME at
resalehost.networksolutions.com.. One link in CNAME
loop:  DNS name resalehost.networksolutions.com. is alias
for CNAME resalehost.networksolutions.com.. See adjoining
messages for other links in CNAME loop.

Didn't Network Solutions make some changes a few months
ago that caused the same type problems and ICANN, or some
group like that, ruled against them?

I sure would like to find out what is going on too.

I am having the exact same issue.

It is affecting my Internet and email and crashing my DNS
server. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm having the exact same problem. We are finding that certain domains are
being redirected to a medication/RX type of advertisement page. Any ideas?

Anyone have an update on this?  I just starting seeing
this in my event viewer starting on the 10th of November.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
