Sorry but I have a really stupid question on NSLookup. My
DNS server is 172.16.10.1, when I type nslookup to go into
interactive mode I receive the following response:
U:\>nslookup
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Can't find server name for address 172.16.10.1: Timed
out
*** Default servers are not available
Default Server: UnKnown
Address: 172.16.10.1
I can ping 172.16.10.1, it is the PDC/WINS/DNS/DHCP but
when pinging I do not get an fqdn back. There is an A
record for this server. Is DNS just not fucntioning
correctly on this server?
Thanks, Sean
