Win NT 4.0 DNS

We have a domain and also have an internal server that is another domain
name. Example we are www.bob.org  an internal server is www.tom.com
If I go to www.tom.com it won't work.
If I go to tom.com It wont work.
If I go to 172.16.20.20 it works.
If I go to tom it works.
What do I need to add or modify on the DNS server.

Do you have a "tom.com" forward lookup zone?
Is there a (same as parent folder) host with IP 172.16.20.20?
Is the a www host with IP 172.16.20.20?
Do you have  _only_  your local DNS server IP address listed for DNS?

I created a new Primary zone and added an entry and That FIxed it. Sorry
Im so stupid to not think of that.

One Other Hopefully non stupid question......
  Is there a file I can copy to have my DNS records backed up in case
problems?

Not a problem and its a good question, The zone file are in the
WINNT\system32\dns folder, and there are some registry entries.
That being said, there is a script called Dnsdump by Dean Wells, that will
back these up for you and restore them or even move them to another machine.
You can download it from here:
