Its a PCI and I have tried all the slots.
It must be a driver issue or a resource conflict or it won't work with NT.
Typically when NT says the device does not exist it is because you have the
wrong driver. NT can be very picky with NIC cards and I have found many that
simply do not work. Get a different card and be done with it.

I agree, NT4 is not very plug and play compatible. On some NICs you can get
DOS programs from the manufacturer that can change the hardware resources if
they conflict with another piece of hardware.
