Hi,

our ISP has assigned us a subnetted class C network
address (say a.b.c.d)with a mask of 255.255.255.192.

We have our own DNS server. Everything is okay expect
reverse lookup is not working for any of our IPs.In our
DNS server we have created the reverse zone c.b.a.in-
addr.arpa. Is this the mistake?..

should we have created d.c.b.a.in-addr.arpa for reverse
lookup for work?..also is anything to be done from the ISP
side as well?.

thanks a lot.

--RS.

just a note
255.255.255.0 is Class C.
c.b.a.in-addrr.arpa
the zone has the d in it.
if you are not a Class see then see who your SOA is
