Event ID: 606
Source: DNS
Category: None

Message:
DNS Server encountered invalid domain name offset in
packet. Offset is the error.

The data is usually the letter F, sometimes it's another
letter.

I cannot find any information on this event id on Google
or the KB.

I'm stumped

DNS is working perfectly, as far as I can tell.

The only change recently was to the MX record, which is
valid and mail is working perfectly, too.

I wanted to add that after the MX change, the DNS services
was started and stopped.

When these error messages continued, the server was even
shut down and restarted in off hours, but they still
continue.
