NT40 Server with Network Client for MS-DOS 3.0

I have an issue with the following setup:  I have a NT40
server that I am using network client for MS-DOS 3.0 to
get an ip address via DHCP (this works fine) and the use
the "net use" command to map a drive to access files. This
all works fine as long as there is just one NIC installed
in the NT40 server. Once a second NIC or three or four are
installed and configured for different subnets I can no
longer map drives to any server in the subnet -- I can
still get an ip address via DHCP but I can no longer map a
drive. The NT40 server and network client are in the same
subnet. I can connect a W2K client to the subnet and
everything works fine with multiple NIC's. Nothing changes
except a second NIC is added to the NT40 Server. That NIC
is configured and connected to a different subnet. Anyo ne
have any ideas what the problem could be?

Are you absolutely sure that they are on seperate subnets - I'd suggest
checking the IP subnet mask of both NICs nad make sure that they are on
different subnets. Or post the IPCONFIG /all from the client and server
here.
