Hi,

We've have an old program (Windows, not in DOS-mode)
running fine on a Windows 98 PC.

But now I need to put the program to a Windows NT PC. The
problem is that the program requires to a load a device
file (a sys file) which is loaded in an entry of
c:\config.sys (e.g. DEVICE=C:\THE_PROGRAM\THE_PROGRAM.SYS)

However, Windows NT doesn't load CONFIG.SYS at all when
boot up. So, how do I force it to load the sys file when
boot up?

thanks in advance,
jackling

NT doesn't use CONFIG.SYS, it will use CONFIG.NT when you
start the shortcut (probably a *.PIF file?) to run your
old Windows program.  In the PIF file properties, click
on the 'Program' tab and then on the 'Windows NT' button
toward the bottom.  Here is where you can specify your
custom MS-DOS initialization files, including CONFIG.NT.
