Can you?
I am just changing to Broadband using a Windows 2000 PC. Presumably I
will have no trouble!

But I would like to network to another PC running Windows NT. Actually I
have two other older desktops - both are NT 4, one is Workstation and
the other Server.
Is it possible? I prefer to only play around with the Workstation machine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get a Cable/DSL Router such as the Linksys BEFSR41.

I know it sounds easy but when I look on the boxes (for the
modem/router) it always says that the software CD is for Operating
Systems Windows 98, 2000, 2003 or XP - NT is never mentioned.

John:

If you use a DSL/Cable Router *any* TCP/IP compliant (10-BaseT and above Ethernet) device
can be used.

That means *any* TCP/IP complaint OS !
That could a be a DOS stack using Novell Lan WorkPlace, or WATTCP stack.   MACs, OS/2,
Novell, WfG, Trumpet TCP/IP, etc,

It could mean a devices such as a  HP JetDirect Print Server or even the Playstation/2 with
NIC or a MS Game Box.

So in conclusion, yes you can use you WinNT4 box using a Cable/DSL Router such as the
Linksys.
