Mapping a network drive

When i tried to map a network drive using net use
command,it prompts for a password.I couldn't mapped a
network drive who has a valid user name & password

Well, you probably need a user name and password.  The correct
syntax is

  net use x: \\server\directory (password) /USER:(domain)\(userid)

fill in the items in parentheses (without including the parentheses).
