Hello,
I have a Windows NT 4.0 Server with SP6a installed.
I also have a hard time due to the Windows Explorer's
frequent crashes. I tried reinstalling SP6a, registry
fixes and many other possibilities but nothing worked so
far.
Of course the system is a bit cluttered as it's rather old
and over the years I've been installing and uninstalling
many applications (many of them leaving quite some "trash"
behind, specilly in windows system folders)
Reinstalling everything including the OS somehow is not an
option, it would be too easy and I'd loose most of the
things I have installed.
I minimized the number of programs starting up and
currently nothing is starting up!
Is there a way to somehow solve this problem?
I welcome any suggestions!!!
Thanx!

I have the same problem with My NT 4 install.  I haven't
solved it but I can work around it.

My crashes usually result from operating the scroll bar in
the left hand window of exlporer.  To avoid navigating
using the scroll bar I use the address requester at the
top of the window to navigate to the desired folder.  I
hope this helps a litte.
