Hi,

I am in the process of trying to identify the list of
hardware attached to a number of NT 4.0 servers.

I have collected information regarding the hardware in
these ways

System Information> hardware

System Information> components

Exported them into a .txt file

I have also used the device manager but it is limited in
the information I need.

I would like to be able to export all the information
regarding the hardware installed/attached on these servers
into a list so I can spare for these parts should any type
of  hardware failure occur  on any one of these servers. I
would like to know  things such as

Processor speed + cache, Model Number

Disk Model numbers, capacity, speed, Model Number

Memory, they type SDRAM, DDR, how many chips, Model Number

Any disk arrays and backup devices attached. Etc etc

Do you know of any commands I can run at a prompt that can
give me accesss to all hardware attached to a particular
server without having to do a physical inspection?

To Display the info in Device Manager I take it the os
must run some type of lower level command to get info on
the hardware and updates this in device manager.

Thankyou in advance

Best Regards,

Steve Sutic

Steve:

The ONLY program that I can think of would be:  AIDA32 @ http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php
