I have a laptop computer that keeps forgetting where it's memory is. I am
running Windows XP but i keep getting a message that reads:
Windows NT has not found enough extended memory. 7 mb of extended memory to
run windows Nt

Memory map
00000000-0009f000
Why is windows NT running if i have windows XP. Is a virus causing this?
Thanks for your help

I believe from what I heard XP has some NT code in it. Thats probably
why you get an NT error message. Does your notebook have some sort of
plug in memory module in it? If so maybe reseating the module would
help. There is alot of freeware memory testers out there. You might
also use one of them to check to see if you have bad memory.
