I am attempting to run the SC.exe utility from a Winodws NT workstation. I
receive the error "The procedure entry point ChangeServiceConfig2W could not
be located in the DLL ADVAPI32.dll." The version on the workstation for
this DLL is 4.0.1381.281 and it does NOT in fact contain
ChangeServiceConfig2W. Here is my question - can this DLL be upgraded
without breaking anything on the Windows NT worksation ? If it can be
upgraded, how? Does winodws update upgrade this or can I simply copy it from
a Windows 2000 workstation and replace the existing dll on the NT workstation?
Better to try this tool.

Hi,
Even I am getting the same error in Windows NT.
I have downloaded psservice.exe as you recommended. But the problem is I am
not able to Create/Install service using this tool as in Sc.exe with
following command.
SC create [ServerName] [binPath= <Path>] <Option1> <Option2> ...
Please help.
Thanks,
Pankil
