we used NT backup to backup files onto tapes. Can one
gets access to one of those tapes easily modify its
content without showing any "system clock""property"
change on the tape?e.g. restore the contents, modify and
re-backup onto the tape using the original date/time?

any clues we might have to tell? thank you!

Dave:

sorry if i wasn't clear. What happened is we "lost
control of" one backup tape for about a week and when we
got it back, the content looks slight different than
expected but all the dates on the backup looked as if it
was the original one, I wonder if there is a way people
could "rewrite" on our tape with slightly modified files?

thanks,
Tom
