Ok I'm a Domain admin, my account works fine on every pc
but one. I tried to installed IE6 on an NT machine (Has
sp6a installed, which I had to do.) But the problem is. I
have to log onto the machine locally as an administrator,
If i log onto the domain using my account I am unable to
install software and or change the NIC's IP or any
network settings. Its like I'm just a regular user. When
I did sp6a I had to log onto the local machine then do
the install. This is really a pain because only certain
apps run when the computer is logged on to the domain, so
if I have to do a quick restarts its ok, but every time i
have to install something I have to log in locally is and
the serivces do not run since im not on the domain (its a
file server pretty much), what could be causing this
error to tell me I dont have administrative privleges on
this machine, even though I'm a domain admin.

Thanks

Joel

Took a bit, but one of the other machines was doing it as
well, You have to log on locally, then go to
administrator and then go to groups, what happens is, we
have to domains setup and NT and an AD, I dont have an
account in AD yet, and the NT machine was pointing to the
Domain Admins of the AD domain, so I added the NT domain
as well as the AD domain adminstrator accounts!

Hope this helps anyone else!
