I have some media on vhs tapes that i would like to stream over the internet.
I run my own servers some run 2000 server and 1 runs 2003. What steps do i
need to take for this to work?

also i need a good list of video editing software

what requirements should the server have?

1. Buy a capture card and install on one of the server machines.
2. Install Windows Media Encoder (free) on the server.
3. Connect your VCR outputs to the capture card inputs.
4. Play the tape.
5. Set up Windows Media Encoder to take input from the capture card and
build a stream of the desired stream rate, etc.
6. Set up Windows Media Services (part of Windows server 2000 and 2003) to
push or pull from the encoder.
7. Run Windows Media Player and connect to the publishing point you set up
in Windows Media Server.

To do this on the internet the server will need to have a static IP address
and be accessible from the internet.
