Hi,

Is their any tool available to help us calculate the number of servers
needed for streaming ?

Streaming related to both live-streaming and on-demand.

Some figures:

28.000 Visitors/day
Average Visit Duration: 1:26
28 TB/Month
Average bandwith: 50-60 MBit/Sec
Compressieformat: MP3 (Audio) & WM (Video)
Used rates:

   Low - 16 kbit/sec
   Middle - 32 kbit/sec
   High - 64 kbit/sec

   Video: 250 kbit/sec

Thanks for the information

Hi,

The following paper gives you some information on how
WMS9 handles clients on a single machine. Hopefully, you
can use this and gather additional information to arrive
at the information that you want:

es/optimize_web.aspx

Hope this helps.
Ravi
