Hello all.

Running server 2003 (WMS)
Pushing from 2000 Pro with WM Encoder 9

Two things I believe are linked.

1) When I try and 'enable' WMS HTTP Server Control
Protocal I recieve this error.

'***
One usage of each socket address (protocol/network
address/port) is permitted. Verify that other services
(such as IIS) or applications are not attempting to use
the same port and then try to enable the plug-in again.
'***

I checked use only this IP in the properties.
Plus I made sure IIS is not using the IP.

2) When I try to push a live stream I recieve this error.
HTTP is not compatible with the verison of WMS or IIS is
recieving the push.

Any ideas on how to fix these issues.

Thanks,
Jon C.

Have you followed the steps given in the WMS Admin Docs
on sharing port 80? I believe the http.sys will bind to
all IPs even though IIS uses only one IP (or some such
thing, not 100% sure about it). You need to run the
WMSHTTPSysConfig.exe (or some such tool that comes with
WMS Installation) so as to enable WMS to successfully
bind to a specific IP. Unfortunately, I don't have server
box or docs with me right now, so can't give you the
accurate detail.

You need to have the HTTP Server control protocol enabled
correctly to push.

Thx,
Ravi
