I have a WM9 Server and have seemingly lost the ability to multicast.
Last night the server was multicasting, but this morning I am unable
to connect.
I have tried several different videos, including those used for
gathering format information when creating my multicast announcement,
but with no luck. I have also tried recreated the multicast
announcement as well as the entire publishing point, again with
unfavorable results.
Unicast streams continue to work on the publishing point without issue
and multicast streaming is enabled in the properties tab.
I have verified my routers are setup to allow multicast, so that does
not appear to be the issue. I do not want to allow multicast streams
to roll over to unicast streams, as that defeats the purpose of
multicasting.
If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them as I am running
out of ideas. Please either feel free to post a reply directly or
email me and I will post a follow-up with a working solution.
Thanks!

This turned out to be a permissions issue. While I was local on the
server, my asx file was pointing to a virtual directory that was not
properly configured. After changing the virtual directory settings
everything worked! Thanks again to everyone!

David, where can I find info on setting up a Multicast streaming,
I am able to do so on the server but I am not sure how to test it from an
end user.
Thansk in advance
