I'm looking for a way to deliver my videos that is similar to quicktime fast
start. I mean, i want the video to be downloaded to HD while it is watched
and then cached so the user can view it without downloading again.

Is it possible with WM?

Thx,
Fabio

Hi Fabio,

With Windows Media Services 9 (available with Windows
Server 2003), there is a set of "Fast Stream" features
that is probably what you are looking for.

Please check the following page and look under Fast Stream:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/evaluation/overv
iew/technologies/mediasrvcs.mspx
and see if it matches what you are looking for.

Hope this helps.

One option is to use a plug in (download manager) like

He may try to use some download manager program. It will solve the
problem and downloading will be much faster and easier. My default
download manager is IDM from Tonec Inc. I used many of such programs
and finally stopped on this one, it is easy, stable and functional.
