Is it possible to encrypt a live stream in MediaServices? -Sammy

Hi
Microsoft Digital Rights Management uses encryption to protect media files.
The streaming itself is not encrypted and there is no embedded functionality
to do that.
To protect live or on-demand streaming content use the 3rd party
authorization solutions such as Voynex Media Guard

Yes it is possible using MS DRM (Play Ready)
Only DRM protection is fully protecting your streams, although you can
build your own access control or use some 3rd party solution.

They're insane! $30000 for the license?

Yes, using an encrypted tunnel. I've successfully encrypted video streams
using SSH. Note that this does not encrypt the content itself, unlike DRM.
