Is it possible to chain several WMS proxies (either all 2003 or all
2008)? I cannot find related material on the MS website and not in
this group too.

I am especially interested in chaining WMS proxies for live streams.

If this is possible then how to configure WMS proxy for chaining as I
can not find any related options in the dialogs.

Yes :)
You can define Publishing Points with unlimited number of hoops.
But you will introduce certain network delay over each server, around
5-10 sec. (default buffering is 5 sec on incoming and 5 sec on out
coming traffic.)
