Hello Tahel,

U'll need to first set publishing point on your windows
Media Server. Select either Unicast or Multicast - (docs
details are right there when u open WMS Interface).

Once u setup your PP where u assign your Windows Media
Encoder Machine IP - u r ready to stream.

On your machine in WMEncoder assign your server IP and PP.
In the next screen select the port no that u configured in
WMS. Proceed futher and make choices as per your
reequirements for the quality of your streaming. If
everything is fine you should be streaming now. Check the
server url with your PP in the path.

However WMEncoder has one interesting feature that is
PUSH. You can push the streaming datat to WMS. This is
possible for WMServer 2003 but I am not sure whether WMS
2000 can??? I have posted question for this in the forum.
With push you can straight away point to your PP without
worrying about your IP which may be something other than
what u configured for.

Happy streaming.
