Hi, I have Vista Ultimate, did shared my video folder in WMP.
I am watching my video using Dlink DSM520 device without real problems.

But there is only one thing which annoying me.

Before I can watch my video on the net I have to login into my PC. Just turn
it on is not enough. I need to get logged interactively.
Before this I can not see "MYPC: user:" on Network Neighborhood.
Thanks,
Roman.

I suggest you to use Windows 2003 Standard Edition for this task.  It has
Windows Media Services which can distribute your media content over the LAN
or internet.

Another PC for such simple task?
I bought small and silent NAS from Synology. I have Media Server feature.
