Hi,

We've got WMS running and streaming live stream. The publishing point gets
the stream from an encoder by using http.
There is a problem with WMS, sometimes publishing point stop from sending
stream to the connected clients after a few hours from time it started.
Publishing point is still in running state and connected to an encoder. All
clients are still connected as well.
I have tried to see in perfmon for \Windows Media Services\Current Incoming
Bandwidth (Kbps) value but the stream from an encoder was still going.
I have tried to create small app that listening on WMI Event but could not
receive any events when this problem was happening. The app can detect when
publishing point started/stopped/reconnected to an encoder.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?
What happen if WMS received stream from an encoder that has an incorrect pts
sequence?
We are trying to stream video to hundreds clients with the WMS and the
reliability is very important to us. Could someone please explain this
behaviour?

Thanks,
Irwan

I experienced similar issues with multicast publishing points.  I eventually
wrote a program that monitored the outgoing bandwidth from the PP and cycled
it if packets went missing for too long.
