Hi@all,

I have a Windows Media Server installed with several publishing points. I
prpared an Image of this system which I installed on a second system.
Now I have the problem that the second server is named like the first. but
as soon as I rename the second server, the windows media services do not work.
I tried the howto from the following link (restoring the server settings),
but the problem still exists:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891773

It seems like the WMSServerConfig.exe does not work, because it is
immediately finished.

how can I rename the second Server without installing a complete Windows
2003 Server with media services?

Thank you for your effort in advance.

The app isn't supposed to give any output. You should run it in a
console windows to see if it displays any output at all (I can imagine
it errors if the input file is unreadable/malformed). Can you be more
specific about the errors you encounter?
