Hi,

I have absolute no experisnce with multimedia. I was looking in MSDN for
documentation that would help me to start.

What I want to do is to push the live video captured by a cam or webcam to
the Windows Media Server over the Internet and play this video live or on
demand.

Could you please navigate me to the good source of information? I was
looking for a book at Amazon, but so far no luck.

What is the latest version of Windows Media Services? I was reading MSDN
documentation for version 9, than I found on other place in MSDN the version
number 11. So I am not sure I started to learn the current version.

You can usually use Windows Media Encoder on your local PC to push
that to the server account ("publishing point") which you've set up :

The windows media resource kit should be a good start, it's fairly
dated now but contains lots of related info too :
