Hi,

I'm creating authentication and pay-per-minute plug-ins for WMS and have got
them pretty much working apart from one scenario. The client is required to
buy credit prior to viewing the content and the problem I have is restricting
the length of the playback if the client has insufficient credit to view the
full clip. I know I can specify a duration in the playlist, but I need to
possibly specifiy a different dusration for each request.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how this could be accomplished?

Thanks in advance,

Marc

The SDK indicates you can disconnect a client by index within the
IWMSPlayers collection using IWMSPlayers.Remove :

Hi,

I am not sure if its available, but since you are implementing the
restrictions to playback, try to see if this feature is possible in
DRM, if yes, then you can use it.

OR

Since u are saving the credit details about client for each stream/
item. Then you can have a some standard to save all kind of rights.
One of it could be the length of playback. Identify the client, then
see the rights stored and accordingly handle the session.

Hope u agree!
Thanks,
Enjoy.

it is possible to  disconnect a client by index within the
IWMSPlayers collection. So you need to save user id and then use it to
disconnect the client from the stream. Of cource this is very general idea,
contact me directly to get more info.
