Streaming Terminology

Hello,

I couldn't find a newsgroup better suited for my questions, so I'm taking a
shot and posting them here!

I'm in the process of researching a hosting service to stream some of our
videos to clients.  I just need some clarification on streaming technology
as I'm not as up to speed as I'd like to be.

So here are my questions:
1 - When a hosting agreement states disk space 600mb (for example), does
that mean how much space they will give me for my video files?
2 - When the agreement states 10gb of transfer, does that mean the amount of
bandwidth being used by my clients?
3 - And lastly, are there any formulas that could help me "guess-timate" how
much bandwidth I would be using based on different numbers of users?

Thanks in advance!

1 - Most likely.
2 - 10Gb or 10GB?  The former could be bandwidth, the latter a total amount per
day (or week, or...)
3 - Bit rate * concurrent users = total bandwidth.
