Hi

I am new to Media Services. I have this requirement from Customer if a
streaming solution can be built around the SQL database. I have video stored
in db. I want to link the streaming server to the db so that I can do a
streaming.
Is this possible.

Regards

WMS has no native support for databases so you'd have to write code to provide
that interface.

In addition, it makes no sense to store video data in a database,
since you've got lots and lots of unnecessary overheads.

Keep it simple, use the filesystem for what it's designed for (fast
serving of file based data) and the DB for managing the relationships
and metadata.

Cheers - Neil
